Listen

It has been another week of serving in God´s work!  I have loved every moment!

This week I was able to work with two zone leaders, and had the opportunity to work in Durán (not too far from Guayaquil).  This next week I will get to work with a couple of other zone leaders, and we have our leader´s council for the month of August, which means I will be able to go to the temple as well!  It will be a great week!

I just want to share a quick thought this week.  As we read in the Book of Mormon with some investigators this week, we were all able to feel the Holy Ghost as we tuned in to his soft voice.  We read in 3 Nephi 11, and read about how a certain people were able to come to hear and understand this simple small voice that teaches, guides and comforts us.  This people heard this simple voice 2 times, but did not understand the wonderful message was being spoken, but their desires to hear changes how the listened.

the third time they did hear the voice, and did open their ears to hear it; and their eyes were towards the sound thereof; and they did look steadfastly towards heaven, from whence the sound came.

It is such a simple task to open our ears to the voice of the Spirit, lift our eyes to the source of this guidance, and look steadfastly for this influence, but it truly allows the Spirit to enter into our heart and mind, and fill us with the Lord´s light.

And behold, the third time thedid understand the voice which they heard; and it said untthem:

I know that we will not only hear, but understand the voice as we wait prepared, as did those waiting for king Benjamin's words, the words of the prophet in Mosiah 2:3-6, 9.  I hope we can all wait patiently and steadfastly for this divine guidance that God gives us.  I know that as we hear, understand, and follow this still small voice that we will be filled with God´s love, and be guided in the path to live forever in His presence.

Have a wonderful week!
